Cancer Support Ministry
This ministry provides help for people affected by cancer.  The Cancer Support Connection will offer spiritual and informational support by providing personal Christian support anchored in prayer, links to credible cancer support resources, and help navigating the large amount of cancer information and support services available.  If you need more information, please contact Tracy Clagett or Betsy Keesler at cancersupport@newlifelaplata.org, or Pastor Aaron Rummage at (301) 609-8423.

Celebrate Recovery
Are you or someone you love dealing with hurts, habits or hang-ups that seem bigger than life?  We have a 12 step program called Celebrate Recovery that helps us realize our full potential in Christ.   Celebrate Recovery meets at New Life Church from 7:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. on Friday Nights.  For more information, contact Joe Namyst at (301) 653-5942 or celebraterecovery@newlifelaplata.org.

DivorceCare® is a weekly support group for people who are separated or divorced or are going through the process of separation or divorce.  This group will begin meeting every other Monday evening, beginning February 4th, from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. in the Administration Building at New Life Church.  If interested in attending, sign up in the Information Area or contact Connie Swindell at (301) 392-3473 or (202) 329-9276.

DivorceCare for Kids is a support group designed for children (ages 5 – 12) whose parents are separated or divorced and attending DivorceCare®. This group will begin meeting on Monday evenings, beginning February 4th, from 7:00 p.m. - 8:30 p.m. in the nursery at New Life Church.  If interested in attending, sign up in the Information Area or contact Christine Hansen at (301) 751-2693.

New Life Divorce Care Alumni
The Divorce Care Alumni program is the next step in healing for those adults who have already been through the regular DivorceCare program.  This group meets on Monday evenings, from 7:00 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. at New Life Church.  For more information, please contact Linda Ringley at (301) 375-7833.

GriefShare® is a support group for people who are grieving the death of someone close to them.  It’s a place to be around people who understand what you are feeling.  This group will begin meeting on Tuesday evenings, beginning June 24th, from 6:30 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. in the Administration Building at New Life Church.  For more information, or to register, contact Lynn Treadway at (301) 609-8423. 

These groups are not limited to just those who attend New Life Church.  If you know someone who would benefit from one of these groups, be sure to invite them.  A registration fee of $15 includes a workbook (scholarships are available) for all classes except the Divorce Alumni class.  Brochures are available in the Information Area.
