Senior Pastor & Director of Children’s Ministry

  Pastor Mike graduated with a degree in Christian Ministries from Southern Wesleyan University. From 1990 through 1998 he pastored in two different churches in North Carolina and has pastored here at New Life Church since 1999. He also serves as the Assistant District Superintendent of the Chesapeake District of the Wesleyan Church. Under his leadership here at New Life there has been tremendous growth.
Tina Hilson is the wife of Pastor Mike Hilson. She is a graduate of Southern Wesleyan University with a degree in Youth and Music Ministry. She currently serves as the Director of Children’s Ministry and manages almost 100 volunteers who serve with her to minister to our children from birth – 5th grade. She and her staff of volunteers serve in the nursery and children’s church at each service as well as our annual Easter Eggstravaganza, VBS and Fall Fun Fest.
The Hilson family enjoys traveling to the ocean and other activities together. Their children Robert, Stephen, and Joshua are active in the church ministry with their parents and enjoy football, soccer, basketball, music and drama. |
